In the tiny town of Stockton, Missouri, sitting on eight plus acres of property, there’s a wedding venue with a perfect view of the Lake.

The Venue at Stockton Lake is a hidden gem, Stockton is a small town in Southwest Missouri situated right on the Stockton Lake conveniently located approximately an hour from Springfield, Missouri, and just two hours from Kansas City. Stockton’s small-town charm ensures that you and your guests won’t have to deal with bustling streets and heavy traffic.

Venue Details

One of the advantages of getting married at The Venue at Stockton Lake is its year-round appeal. You can choose to have a springtime celebration with the blooming flowers, a summer outdoors wedding with the lakes & boaters as your backdrop, a fall ceremony with the trees full of color, or a winter wonderland wedding with a cozy, warm atmosphere in the heated building.

At The Venue at Stockton Lake, you have the luxury of choosing between two distinct ceremony options: indoor and outdoor. The outdoor setting features an enchanting pergola set against a charming small pond and a gracefully flowing fountain. The indoor ceremony space is elegantly designed, with a grand staircase that serves as your aisle.

Best described as a blend of rustic and classic, The Venue at Stockton Lake complements a wide range of wedding styles. The abundant natural light streaming through the windows, combined with the warm ambiance created by Edison bulb lighting, imparts an elevated and romantic atmosphere to your special day.

The private bridal suite upstairs has a double vanity, a full couch, plenty of mirrors, a black wall to hang dresses on, and the cutest neon sign that tells you how pretty you are. It also has a private bathroom so nobody has to escape and dodge curious eyes while getting ready.

The groom’s suite is meant for those who are ready to relax. It has large double doors to open and allow the lighting from the lake view windows come in. The large TV is perfect for catching a college game on Saturdays.

One of the most convenient perks of having your wedding at The Venue at Stockton Lake is access to their “something borrowed room.” This large closet includes a vast array of items that can be seamlessly incorporated into your wedding decor. The something borrowed room includes signage, florals, glassware, and more.

Photo Opportunities

The view from the venue is perfectly aligned with the north side of Stockton Lake. This allows for both indoor and outdoor photos with the trees and lake as your backdrop. I’ve also heard that heading down to the Lake access is only three miles from the venue and is great for sunset photos and first looks.

Inside, the grand staircase makes for a gorgeous backdrop. We can stack people, do dress details, and couples portraits all in the comfort of the temperature controlled building.

Inside the bridal suite is a gorgeous couch with a backdrop to add an extra touch to getting ready photos. The neon “You’re so pretty” sign adds an extra touch that all photographers love.

Also, in the bridal suite, the black wall is great for hanging dresses and a few portraits, especially if you love contrasting colors.
